Sainik School Entrance Exam 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the All Indiainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2025 registration window for Classes 6th and 9th today, January 13, 2025, by 5 PM. The examination payments window is scheduled to close tomorrow, January 14, 2025. The correction window for the same will be made available from January 16 to 18, 2025. The NTA will soon announce the dates for the Sainik School Entrance Exam 2025.
For admissions into Class 6th, candidates must be aged between 10 and 12 years as of March 31, 2025. The National Testing Agency (NTA) official notification states that “Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools. Eligibility for admission to approved New Sainik Schools is detained in the information bulletin.”
Similarly, for admissions into Class 9th, candidates must be aged between 13 and 15 years as of March 31, 2025, and must have cleared Class 8th from a recognised school. Candidates to fill in the registration forms will be required to submit the application fee of Rs. 800 if belong to the General/OBC(NCL)/Defence/Ex-servicemen categories and those belonging to the SC/ST category are required to pay Rs. 650 as the application fee. Candidates appearing for the Class 6th exam will need to attend a total of 125 questions in the test paper, which will include four subjects i.e., Language, Mathematics, Intelligence and General Knowledge with a total weightage of 300 marks. In subjects of Language, Intelligence and General Knowledge, each question will carry two marks. The mathematics section will include a total of 50 questions carrying a total weightage of 150 marks.
The class 9th exam will include a total of 150 questions with a total weightage of 400 marks. The subjects that will be included in the exam are Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Science and Social Science. This mathematics section will include a total of 50 questions and the remaining four sections will include a total of 25 questions.
The class 6th exam will be conducted from 2 pm to 4:30 pm (150 minutes) and the class 9th exam will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm (180 minutes).
Candidates who desire to get admission into class 6th must be aged between 10 and 12 years as of March 31, 2025, which means candidates must have been born between April 1, 2013 and March 31, 2015. As per the official notice released by the NTA states that, “Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools. Eligibility for admission to approved New Sainik Schools is detained in the information bulletin.” Similarly, candidates who want to get admission into class 9th must possess an age between 13 and 15 years as of March 31, 2025, which means candidates must be born between April 1, 2010, and March 31, 2012, and should have passed class 8th from a recognised school.
To complete the registration process for Sainik School Entrance Exam 2025, candidates belonging to General/OBC(NCL)/Defence/Ex-servicemen categories will be required to submit the application fee of Rs. 800, while candidates from SC/ST categories are required to submit the fee of Rs. 650.
