GST Dept Slaps Rs. 1.46 Cr Notice on Prostarm for Wrong ITC Claim

Prostarm Info Systems Limited has informed the stock exchanges, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE), that it has received a Show Cause Notice (SCN) from the GST Department of Maharashtra. The notice was received on June 30, 2025, and related to the financial year 2018-2019.

The GST department claims that the company availed incorrect Input Tax credit (ITC) on some transactions. Due to this, the tax authority has issued a show cause notice (SCN) of Rs 1,46,04,810, including interest and penalty. The company stated that it has strong merits and is planning to file an official reply challenging the claims made in the SCN.

This disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
