ASTU B.Tech Admission 2024-25: Eligiblity Criteria

Candidates must clear the following eligibility criteria to get admission into the B.Tech program of Assam Science and Technology University:

• In accordance with the AICTE approval process handbook 2024-25 to 2026-27, Page no. 108, candidates must have cleared their 10th and 12th examinations with subjects like Physics, Mathematics, or any of the mentioned courses: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumental Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Bio-technology, Technical Vocation Subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship, etc. Candidates are compulsory to achieve atleast 45% marks in general. Relaxation has been awarded to the candidates belonging to the reserved category (SC/ST), they are just required to achieve 40% marks.
• Candidates must have a good moral character to apply for admission.
• Candidates must have good health both physically and mentally.

ASTU B.Tech Admission 2024-25: Age Limit

In order to get admission into the B.Tech of Assam Science and Technology University, candidates must have an age limit between 17 to 21 years by August 1, 2024. A relaxation of 3 years in the upper age limit is being awarded to the candidates belonging to SC/ST castes. Candidates who passed out their class 12th with B.Sc should have a maximum age limit of 22 years.

ASTU B.Tech Admission 2024-25: Admission Criteria and Procedure

The eligible candidates will be selected based on their credentials in the following order in the respective B.Tech program.

• First ten seats by JEE 2024 Rank
• The seats that remained after the first, will be filled by the CEE 2024 Rank
• If still seat left after the first and second, then they will be filled up on the merit of the written test conducted by the university.

• Application forms will be filled in online mode only, applications submitted via some other means will not be accepted by the university.
