Big Relief for Carraro India Limited as Customs Department Drops IGST Demand

The Customs Commissioner in Pune has dropped a Rs. 6.37 crore IGST demand after accepting the company’s explanations in the case. The favorable order gives complete relief to the company and reduces its financial liability.

Carraro India Limited informed the stock exchanges that the Commissioner of Customs, Pune, passed an order in the company’s favour on 7 May 2026.
Earlier, the company had received a notice in September 2025 asking it to pay around Rs 6.37 crore as IGST.
After the company submitted its reply and explanations, the Customs authority decided to cancel the entire demand and gave full relief to the company.
This decision reduces the company’s possible financial liability and improves its financial position.
