BMC Recruitment 2023 for Firefighters: 910 Vacancies, Check Eligibility and How to Apply
BMC Recruitment 2023: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai has invited Applications from both Male and Female Gender Candidates Eligible for Firefighters in the Fire Brigade Establishment. There are 910 Vacancies to be filled with Appointments of Eligible Candidates as Firefighters under the Pay Scale Rs.21700 to Rs.69100 in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
As per the BMC Recruitment 2023 Notification, In light of the BMC Recruitment 2023 Notification, those Candidates who convincingly have qualified the Eligibility Criteria in terms of Educational Qualification and Physical Standards may apply for the Selection Process.
The Intending Candidates may fill in their respective Applications in the Prescribed Specimen Format to be able to report for the Walk-in Selection Process.
The Walk-in Recruitment Test for Firefighters shall commence from 13th January 2023 to 4th February 2023 (13.01.2023 to 04.02.2023) as per the BMC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Recruitment Methodology: Walk-in Selection
1) Un-Reserved Candidates (as on 31.12.2022) should be lesser than 20 Years and not exceed 25 Years.
Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for the Reserved Community Candidates
The Candidate should be Intermediate (Arts/Science/Commerce) Passed with 50% Marks from the State Government accredited Board of Education.
For Ex-Service-Men: i) Either should have assumed the above Qualifications Or must have passed Matriculation 10th and should have Bachelor’s Degree Certificate with Minimum 15 Years’ Service in the Indian Army; Or
ii) Should have passed Matriculation 10th and should have Bachelor’s Degree Certificate with Minimum 15 Years’ Service in the Indian Army.
Physical Standards for BMC Recruitment 2023:
The Intending Candidates should fulfill the Physical Standards Measurement as follows:
A) Male Candidates:
i) Height: 172 Cm.
ii) Chest: 81 Cm (Unexpanded) and 86 Cm (Expanded)
iii) Weight: 50 Kg.
B) Female Candidates:
i) Height: 162 Cm
ii) Weight: 50 Kg.
As per the BMC Recruitment 2023 Notification, Selection to the Post shall be carried out through 02 Stages for Aggregate 200 Marks as follows:
i) Field Test: 120 Marks
ii) Certification Test: 80 Marks
The Walk-in Selection Process for recruitment of the Candidates as Firefighters shall be carried through as hereinabove.
The Eligible and Interested Candidates should
i) fill in the Application Form in the Attached Prescribed Specimen Application Format.
ii) annex the Self-attested Photostats of the Educational Qualifications and
iii) 02-Years’ MSc-IT Course Certificate.
The Applicants shall need to pay the following Recruitment Fee/Sum in the shape of a Demand Draft in favor of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation payable in Mumbai as follows
i) Open (Un-Reserved) Category Candidate: Rs.944 (Rupees Nine Hundred Forty-four only) (including VAT & Service Tax)
ii) Backward Classes and Destitute/Orphanage Candidate: Rs.590 (Five Hundred Ninety only) (including VAT & Service Tax)
The Candidates shall be required to report with submission of the Demand Draft for the Walk-in Selection Recruitment.
Recruitment Location:
The Walk-in Selection shall be conducted beginning from 13th January 2023 to 4th February 2023 (13.01.2023 to 04.02.2023).
Walk-in Selection Venue:
Duly constituted Selection Committee will conduct the Walk-in Selection at the following Venue with the aim of completing the Selection Process
