BPSC Recruitment 2023: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC), Patna has invited Online Applications from the Candidates shortlisted in the BPSC Preliminary Examination 2022 for 44 Vacancies to be filled up in the BPSC Head Office based on the BPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement The BPSC Recruitment 2022-23 Official Advertisement for Selection on Assistant Posts through the Main Examination has 44 Vacancies to be filled up under Pay Scale Level 07 (44900-142400). Based on the BPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Online Application Process shall commence on 27.07.2023. Accordingly, the Closing Date for Online Registration is 16.08.2023 notified in the Appended BPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement for Main Examination.
Therefore the Candidates shortlisted in the BPSC Assistant Preliminary Examination 2022 must complete the Online Application Process Before or On 16.08.2023, termed as the Last Date. The Candidates should complete the Online Application Process as per the Standing Instructions. The Candidates must retain Valid Email Identification, In-Use Mobile Number until the Recruitment Process for BPSC Assistant Post concludes. The Registered Candidates must also retain the User Name and Password in Safe Custody. Based on the BPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Bihar Public Service Commission shall conduct the Main Examination 2023 for Final Selection on the Assistant Post against 44 Vacancies published in the BPSC Recruitment 2022 Official Advertisement.

Selection Methodology: Preliminary Test, Main Examination and Final Merit for Selection
Selection to Assistant Post in Bihar Public Service Commission consists of 02 Phases; Phase 1: Preliminary Test and Phase II: Main Examination followed by a Category-specific and Community-wise Merit List for Final Selection. The 1st Phase (Preliminary Examination) with 2¼ Hours (135 Minutes) comprising 03 Sections with 150 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for Maximum 150 Marks. Each Correct Response submitted in the OMR Answer Sheet by the Candidates carries a 01 Mark with a Negative Marking of 0.25 or ¼ against each Wrong Answer. This Prelim Examination involves the Preliminary Test and Main Examination Patterns as follows:
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) shall conduct the Main Written Examination 2023 in Bilingual Mode aimed at drawing up a Common Merit List for Selection:
Stage II: Main Examination 2023 Scheme:
The Main Examination consists of 02 Papers; i.e., Paper-I: General Hindi and Paper II: General Knowledge.
Paper-I: General Hindi: With 135 Minutes’ Exam Duration comprises 100 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type for Maximum 100 Marks. This Paper involves +01 Mark for each Correct Response and -¼ or 0.25 Mark for each Wrong Answer submitted in the OMR Answer Sheet.
Paper-II: General Knowledge: comprises Total 150 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions for Maximum 150 Marks; Marking: +01 Mark for each Right Response and -¼ or 0.25 Mark for each Incorrect Answer submitted in the OMR Answer Sheet as follows
Part I: General Studies (GS): 50 Multiple Choice Questions = 50 Marks
Part II: General Science and Mathematics (GSM): 50 Multiple Choice Questions = 50 Marks
Part III: Mental Ability Test (MAT): 50 Multiple Choice Questions = 50 Marks
Minimum Qualifying Marks: The Candidates should score the Minimum Pass Marks in order to be considered Eligible for being on Merit List:
i) General (Open) Merit Candidates: 40%
ii) Backward Class: 36.5%
iii) Extremely Backward Class: 34% Marks
iv) Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Persons with Benchmark Disability and Women belonging to General Category as well as other Reserved Communities: 32% Marks
Stage 3: Selection-cum-Merit List.
The Marks obtained in Stage 1: Preliminary Examinations shall not be counted towards Merit List preparation. The Bihar Public Service Commission shall prepare Common Merit List by taking into account the Candidate’s Marks obtained in the Main Examination and on the basis of the Work Experience Preference.
Based on the BPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Application Fee to be remitted by E-Payment Gateway remains as hereunder:
i) Un-Reserved Category Candidate: Rs.750 (Rupees Seven Hundred & Fifty) only Plus Requisite Bank Charges
ii) General Merit Candidates and all other Communities from across India (other than Bihar State): Rs.750 (Rupees Seven Hundred & Fifty) only Plus Requisite Bank Charges
iii) Bihar State Resident Reserved Community and Woman Candidates: Rs.200 (Rupees Two Hundred) only Plus Requisite Bank Charges
