Brainbees Solutions Receives Demand Order of Rs 6.56 Cr, Plans to Appeal The Brainbees Solutions Limited, an Indian multinational retail company that operates FirstCry, recently issued a disclosure, addressed to the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, regarding receipt of a demand order. This disclosure was made by Brainbees Solutions Limited under Regulation 30 read with Para A of Part A of Schedule III of the Securities and  Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 ("LODR Regulations"). Through which, the company informed about the receipt of the demand order on January 14, 2026.
Eternal Limited Faces GST Demand Order of Rs 1.92 Crore, Plans to Appeal
The company added that it had received the demand order amounting to Rs 6,56,58,134 because it was alleged for contravention to adhere with the procedural aspects of documentation relating to country of origin of the imported goods under Asia-Pacific Trade Agreement (APTA) framework. The demand includes the following:
  1. Demand of the differential duty amounting to Rs. 2,13,29,067 under Section 28(8) of the Customs Act, 1962.
  2. Redemption of impugned goods on payment of a redemption fine of Rs. 1,15,00,000 under Section 125(1) of the Customs Act, 1962.
  3. Imposition of a penalty of Rs. 2,13,29,067 under Section 114A of the Customs Act, 1962.
  4. Imposition of a penalty of Rs. 1,15,00,00o under Section 114AA of the Customs Act, 1962.
ONGC Receives Demand Order from CGST Commissioner; Company to File Appeal
The company also added that it will further take appropriate steps to file an appeal against the order. Lastly, the company said that this order does not have any impact on financial, operational, or other activities of the company.
