Abu Dhabi Court Issues Order in Butterfly Product Malfunction Case

Then the Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited has been ordered by a court in Abu Dhabi to pay a fine of AED 31,666.66.
An official disclosure dated April 28, 2026, submitted by Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances Limited to both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The disclosure serves as an update to earlier intimations made on December 12, 2025, and February 27, 2026, regarding a legal matter pursued by the company before a judicial authority in the United Arab Emirates. Specifically, the case was heard by the Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal, indicating that the matter had progressed beyond an initial stage and was under appellate consideration.
This order was passed on April 27, 2026, because a customer got hurt while using one of the company's products, claiming it did not work properly or failed. Although the company has to pay this money, they have assured investors and the public that this expense is small enough that it will not affect their business operations or their overall financial health.
