CBI Arrested two Army Personnel and two Civilians in Rs 22.48 Lakh Bribery Case The Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) have been detained Senior Barracks Store Officer (Lt Col), a Subedar Major, both of MES, Ambala Cantt (Haryana), and two unidentified individuals (Contractors) in connection with alleged bribery of Rs. 22.48 Lakh. On the grounds that the accused demanded a bribe, a complaint was filed against them. The suspected payment of a bribe was made to make sure that the majority of Ambala Cantt tenders and orders went to the named private contractors. Both the public employees and the aforementioned private individuals (the bribe providers) were apprehended by CBI after falling into a trap they set. Searches were out at the accused's Ambala, Kurukshetra, residence resulting in the recovery of significant cash and damning paperwork. Searches resulted in the recovery of around Rs. 32.50 lakh from the Senior Barracks Store Officer's (Lt. Col.) premises and approximately Rs. 16 lakh from the hands of the aforementioned private individuals (Contractors). The four apprehended suspects will all be presented to the appropriate court.
