The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Itarsi, and a middleman in a bribery case on October 7, 2026.
According to the CBI, a case was registered on the same day after allegations that the school principal demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakh from firms based in Bhopal. These firms had been awarded renovation work at the school, and the alleged bribe was demanded in exchange for clearing their pending bills for work orders issued through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
