Central University of Jharkhand Recruitment 2023: The Dr. Ram Dayal Munda Tribal Welfare Research Institute in Ranchi has invited applications for recruitment in a Research Project at the Central University of Jharkhand. The project, titled “Ethnographic Study of PVTGs of Jharkhand,” requires eight Research Assistants and two Research Associates. The project aims to conduct extensive fieldwork and collect ethnographic data related to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of Jharkhand. The project requires candidates with a Master’s degree or Ph.D./MPhil in any social science discipline involving fieldwork and data collection, preferably in domains involving studies conducted among tribals.
As per the Central University of Jharkhand Recruitment, 2023 official notification candidates must possess at least 55% or above marks in Master’s degree level and meet the age limit criteria of 35 years for Research Assistant and 45 years for Research Associate. A relaxation of a maximum of three years for OBC applicants and a maximum of five years for SC/ST/PH applicants is applicable. The engagement will be purely contractual and time-bound, with a period of six months. The selected candidates will receive a remuneration of Rs. 16,000/- per month for Research Assistants and Rs. 25,000/- per month for Research Associates. The candidates must be ready to join immediately, and no time extension shall be provided.

The maximum age limit for Research Associate is 45 years, with a relaxation of maximum 3 years for OBC applicants and a maximum of 5 years for SC/ST/PH applicants.
As per Central University of Jharkhand Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Research Assistant and Research Associate posts are purely contractual and time-bound with a period of engagement of 6 months. The Research Assistant will be paid a monthly remuneration of Rs. 16,000/- while the Research Associate will receive Rs. 25,000/- per month.
The work profile of the Research Assistant involves conducting research work related to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) of Jharkhand. This includes conducting a comprehensive literature review, extensive fieldwork for gathering ethnographic data, preparing draft research reports, and carrying out any other assignments as directed by the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, and Research Associates.
On the other hand, the Research Associate will be responsible for finalizing draft research reports under the guidance of the PI and Co-PI. The work also involves carrying out managerial tasks such as procurement, maintenance of stock, preservation of bills/vouchers, office management, and undertaking any other tasks as directed by the PI and Co-PI.
