Composition Dealers Across Country Receive Unverified Unnecessary Email

Many dealers who use the GST Composition scheme have been getting a bunch of emails and text messages that were not checked properly and were uncalled. This is causing a lot of unnecessary panic all over the country.

Composition Scheme Under GST is a scheme that can be opted for by small taxpayers who wish to reduce the compliance burden under GST. Here, the small taxpayers (with turnover less than Rs 1.5 crore) can comply with the GST law easily by paying a small, fixed percentage of their turnover.

Even the taxpayers who have complied with GST registration have received such notices. A user on platform X shared the frustration, writing that the GST department must do a detailed analysis before sending such communications. The amendments made by the GST Council to the laws and rules are already very complicated and difficult for taxpayers to understand. Therefore, clear and correct communication would help dealers understand the new rules. Many other users also agreed with his post and shared their issues in reply to the post.
