Department of Science and Technology Recruitment 2023: The Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), Government of India has sought Online Applications from the Officers meeting Eligibility for 02 Scientific Attaché Posts under Group ‘A’ Gazetted with 01 Post each for Posting in the 01) Indian Mission in Washington DC (The United States of America) and 02) Indian Mission Moscow, Russia on Deputation (Including Short Term Contractual) Basis to be filled up in Pay Matrix Level: Rs. 37400-Rs.67000 Plus Grade Pay Rs.8900 (Pay Band 4) (Pre-Revised) Level 13A (Rs.131100-216600) (Revised) in the Department of Science and Technology (DST) vide this Department of Science and Technology Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.

Based on the Department of Science and Technology Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Eligibility Criteria for Scientist ‘D’ Post is as follows:
The Scientists or Technologies working under the Central Government Or State Government Or Accredited Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Semi-Government Or Statutory/Autonomous Bodies in India Or Abroad holding Analogous Posts on a Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre of Department with
i) 02 Years’ Service in the Grade rendered Post-Appointment in the Prescribed Pay Level 13; Or
ii) 06-Years’ Service in the Grade rendered Post-Appointment in the Prescribed Pay Level 12 Or Equivalent in the Parent Cadre or Department with Mandatory Educational Qualification and Experience hereunder:
Essential Educational Qualification and Experience: Philosophiae Doctor in Natural/Agriculture Sciences/Master’s Degree in Engineering/Technology/Medicine from any Accredited University or Equivalent with 12 Years’ Experience in Research & Development in the Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations or Scientific Activities and Services, out of which 01 Year should be in Natural Science, Mathematics, Information Technology and Computer Science from Science at Graduate and Subsequent Levels as well.
Desirable Qualification and Experience: Knowledge of Modern European, German, Russian, and Japanese Languages in addition to English.
Post Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D)/Doctorate Research in the forestated Domain Or Doctorate Degree in Engineering, Technology or Medicine among other things from any Accredited University/Equivalent.
Wide Experience in Interdisciplinary Areas of Science and Technology with an Emphasis on Copyrights, Intellectual Property Rights, Patents and Inventions.
Selection for Notified Both DST Scientific Attaché Posts Posts will be carried through By Deputation (ISTC) Basis.
The Period of Deputation, including the Deputation Period in another Ex-Cadre Post held immediately preceding this Appointment in the same or some other Organization/Department of the Central Government, shall ordinarily not exceed 04.
