DIAT Recruitment 2023 of JRF: The Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee, and the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) has released a recruitment notification inviting applications from young scientists and engineers for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant (PA) for a DRDO-sponsored research project. According to the official Recruitment 2023 advertisement of DIAT the vacancies are available for a project called “Design and Development of High-Temperature High Entropy Alloys for Aero Engine Applications” in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. The JRF and PA positions require specialized qualifications in Materials Science, Materials Engg., Mechanical Engg., Metallurgy, or Production Engg. Applicants must also have a valid GATE/NET score or equivalent ME/M.Tech/M.Sc qualification to be eligible for the positions. The upper age limit for JRF/PA recruitment is 28 years, with a relaxation in the age limit as per the government of India’s rules. The tenure of the engagement is temporary for a period of three years or coterminous with the project, whichever is earlier. The JRFs recruited at DIAT will be encouraged to register for a Ph.D. program at the institute through proper channels, as per DIAT norms.

Essential Qualification:
M.E/ M.Tech/ M.Sc or equivalent with GATE/NET score.
Specialized Qualification:
Materials Science/ Materials Engg./ Mechanical Engg./ Metallurgy/ Production Engg.
Project Assistant (PA):
Essential:
M.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry/Material Science OR B.E/ B.Tech/ME/M.Tech(Material Science/ Mechanical Engg./ Metallurgy/ Production Engg.)
Desirable:
ME/M Tech or candidates with NET/GATE qualifications shall be preferred.
The maximum age limit for DIAT Recruitment 2023 for JRF/PA is 28 years. However, there is a relaxation in the age limit as per the government of India’s rules.
Note:
The Crucial Date for Upper Age Limit The crucial date for determining the upper age limit for JRFs is March 12, 2023. Candidates should ensure that they meet the age requirements before applying for the position. The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST, Women & PWD and 3 years for OBC (NC)/EBW candidates.
As Per the DIAT Recruitment 2023 official notification monthly stipend will be given to selected candidates given below
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – 31000 Per month (Consolidated)
2. Project Assistant – 18000 Per month (consolidated)
As per the official notification, the position is temporary for a period of 03 Years (OR) coterminous with the project, whichever is earlier.

As per DIAT Recruitment 2023 Official Notification the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Assistant (PA) for a research project. Hostel Accommodation and Medical Facilities Subject to availability, hostel accommodation may be provided to JRFs on a payment basis. Additionally, medical facilities, limited to MI Room facilities, will be extended to the incumbent. This ensures that JRFs can focus on their research while having their basic needs met.
Mode of Interview DIAT will conduct the interview for JRFs either in-person or via video conferencing, whichever is suitable for the institute. The mode of the interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates. This ensures that candidates can prepare for the interview and choose the appropriate mode based on their preferences.
