Emcure Pharmaceuticals Fined by MCA for 2015 Compliance Lapse

Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, a Pune-based privately owned organization, was served with a Final Order from the Office of the Regional Director, Western Region (Ministry of Corporate Affairs), Mumbai, on 24th June 2025, which stated that the charges imposed on the company in relation to a compliance error made in 2015 and 2016 AMGs by not rotating the right number of directors in accordance with Section 152. Emcure filed an application to resolve this dispute legally via compounding under Section 441, which was accepted by the Regional Director. A total fine of Rs. 1.75 Lakh was imposed on the company, which was paid by the two directors (one of them being a former director).

The company informed NSE and BSE about the order in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company also stated that this matter is prompt to make no impact on the financials, operations or other activities of the company.
