Given the essential significance of this situation, it is a request to your respected office to consider extending the deadline for filing Income Tax Returns for the current financial year. The current deadline of July 31, 2024, is quickly approaching, and the portal's persistent outage has prevented many taxpayers from filing their taxes on time. An extension would not only ease taxpayers' difficulties but would also ensure that tax regulations are followed without unnecessary pressure. It would also help to avoid excessive fees and interest for late submissions.
