FACT Recruitment 2023: Fertilisers And Chemicals Travancore (FACT) Limited, Kochi has invited Applications from the Candidates Eligible for the Post Barge Master On Contractual (Ad hoc) Basis. As has been notified in the FACT Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, there is 01 Vacancy for Empanelment/Engagement of the Barge Master Post for a Fixed Tenure Contractual Basis (i.e., 02 Years) in FACT Engineering And Design Organization (FEDO). Among the Eligible Candidates with interest for Empanelment/Engagement Barge Master on Contractual (Ad hoc) Basis in the FACT Engineering And Design Organization (FEDO) should apply according to the Instructions and within the Timeline notified in the FACT Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
As per the FACT Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Last Date for the Intending Eligible Candidates is 17th February 2023 (17.02.2023).
As per the FACT Recruitment 2023 Notification 01 (One) notified Vacancy shall be filled on Contractual (Ad hoc) Basis explained hereunder:

As is notified in the FACT Recruitment 2023 Advertisement mandating 01.02.2023 as the Crucial Age for determining the Applicant’s Age Limit, the Eligible Candidates.
Relaxation in Maximum Age Limit for Reserved Community as per Government Directives.
Minimum 22 Years and Maximum Age 62 Years
According to the FACT Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Salary payable to the Candidates shall be in Consolidated shape.
Salary: Rs. 25000 (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) Consolidated only. Additional Trip Allowance and Food Allowance shall also be payable to the Candidate selected on Barge Master Post.
*Note: The Candidates offered Engagement as Barge Master mentioned hereinabove shall be Consolidated Pay of Rs.25000Per Month (Pay being revised). Higher Consolidated Payment will be considered for those with higher relevant experience @ 3% for each completed Year of Additional Relevant Experience over and above the Minimum Experience given under “Specification”, subject to Maximum Rs.30000 Per Month.
The Specification including Educational Qualification and Experience according to the FACT Recruitment 2023 Advertisement essential for the Candidates is as follows:
Specifications (Educational Qualification): i) Matriculation/Xth Standard Pass out.
ii) Minimum Valid Second Class Master’s Certificate under Kerala Inland Vessels Rules.
Post-Qualification Experience: iii) Minimum of 01- Year’s Post Qualification Experience as Master in a Boat/Barge/Ship.
The Candidates with Experience in the Inland Water Ways of Kochi will be given Preference. .
Experience: Minimum Post Qualification 01 Year’s Experience in Construction Projects
Selection on Barge Master shall be carried out as notified in the FACT Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.
Candidates successful in the Practical/Skill Test will be assessed and ranked on the basis of merit. In case of TIE in the Marks, they will be ranked on the basis of the following Criteria in the order given below:
I) Completed Years of Relevant Experience in Inland Water Ways of Kochi.
II) Completed Years of Relevant Experience.
III) Earlier Year of acquiring Minimum Second Class Master Certificate as per KIV Rules.
IV) Earlier Date of Birth.
*Note: Only Post-Qualification Experience will be considered for the Post.
The Empanelment/Engagement of the Appropriately Eligible Individual for Barge Master Post for a Fixed Contractual Period. Even as Empanelment/ Engagement of the Candidate shall be Initially 01 Year, which is likely Extendable by 01 Year Twice.
The Contract stands Renewable at the discretion of the Management, subject to requirement, Performance, Assessment, etc. Engagement is also liable to be terminated by the Management with 15 Days’ Advance Notice at FACT’s discretion without assigning any reason, whatsoever, Notice, at its discretion without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
