Girl become CA by defeating Mucormycosis; Hats off to her determination!

Tejal Sawant, a city girl with Covid and Mucormycosis infections that have caused facial paralysis and vision loss in one eye, has passed the CA final exam with flying colours. She become CA after defeating Mucormycosis.

Tejal told the newspaper that she felt uneasy on her way to the Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu on January 23, 2021. During a check-up, it was discovered that her blood sugar had increased between 500 and 600 (mg/di), despite the fact that she did not have diabetes.

“Somehow, I took darshan. I was not feeling fit completely, so we left for Mumbai from Jammu, but got down in Dahanu for treatment. When my condition worsened, I was transferred to a hospital in Surat because it was the closest to Dahanu. Following an MRI, it was discovered that I had Covid, Muconnycosis, and Diabetes-I. Meanwhile, I suffered a brain stroke and facial and vocal chord paralysis. Doctors had told my parents that my condition was critical and that my chances of survival were only one percent because the black fungus was spreading quickly and sugar was out of control “She remembered.

“I returned to Aurangabad after spending two and a half months in the hospital. I ate through a feeding tube inserted into my body for six months until August 2021, but I didn’t give up. I received more than 60% on my CA final Group II exam in December 2021. I prepared for Group-I of the CA Final and have passed it today (December 2022 session). I studied for 13-14 hours daily for preparations,” Tejal, who was cured of Mucormycosis but still suffers from facial and vocal chord paralysis as well as type I diabetes, stated in a media interview.

She added, “Pratik Sawant, my father, is a businessman, and Seema, my mother, is a housewife. They kept me motivated throughout my treatment and exam preparations. They used to say that if Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Jhansi Ki Rani fought for others, why couldn’t I fight for myself? Muniba Mazari’s (physically challenged model) speeches also inspired me.”
