Government Notifies Rs 19,000 Monthly Wage Threshold Under Occupational Safety Code
The Ministry of Labour & Employment has issued a notification recently, on 13th May, 2026, regarding fixation of wage limits under the Code on Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions, 2020.
The Central Government has fixed the salary limit for the purpose of this law under the powers conferred under the Code on Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions, 2020.
It has fixed the amount at nineteen thousand rupees a month. If someone gets paid a single lump sum instead of a monthly salary, then one-time payment should be equal to the amount of nineteen thousand rupees per month.
