GST Department raids Electrical Firm; Sezied Goods worth Rs.8 Lakhs
A team from the GST department searched the Shakti Stabiliser Farm on Ansari Road. Without purchase and sale documents, the team seized items valued at around Rs.8 lakh during that period. The company was also given a notice over this.
Under the leadership of GST Deputy Commissioner State Vivek Mishra, a raid was conducted at Shakti Stabilizer located on Ansari Road on Wednesday afternoon.
It was discovered that the farm was involved in the purchase and sale of various electrical products, including batteries and inverters, during this period.
According to Vivek Mishra, the company was selling the goods without charging GST and without providing a bill after looking over the form. A bill for items such as a room heater, inverter, battery, LED light, tube, etc. valued roughly eight lakhs on the spot could not be shown by the merchant during the examination.
As per regulations, all of the aforementioned items have been seized because there are no account books. On Wednesday, from 1 pm until 2 am, the inquiry proceeded, according to Deputy Commissioner Vivek Mishra. He threatened to take harsh action against any businessman who purchases and sells goods without the proper documents.
It is legally required for all traders to purchase and sell products through letters, and to always provide the customer with a bill of goods. Any trader who sells without providing a bill will face harsh consequences. The team included Yogendra Prasad Singh, Assistant Commissioner, Mahavir Prasang, Anil Kumar, and others.
