GST reach out to Commerce and Industry Sectors

On Tuesday, the Puducherry CGST & Central Excise Commissionerate held the first of a series of trade facilitation meetings with the trade and industry sectors.

Pharma, textiles, consumable goods, and fast moving consumer goods (FMCGs) were among the industries represented on the first day.

According to Commissionerate authorities, this was the second such gathering to tackle GST-related issues or systemic flaws, following a meeting in December last year.

“These meetings are arranged at the conclusion of each quarter for small, medium, and large firms,” an official stated.

Nodal officials have been selected for interactions with various sectors that will take place at the Union Territory’s Commissionerate and divisional offices.

On Wednesday, trade facilitation meetings will be held for the car, auto ancillaries, electrical and electronics, and other sectors, and on Thursday, for MSMEs and exporters.

The Commissionerate has invited trade and industry associations/Chambers of Commerce to encourage their members’ participation. Those who are unable to attend can send their representations/suggestions/grievances to [email protected], with copies to [email protected], or by WhatsApp at 9968954962.
