Among the total appeals, 196 cases belong to matters that were previously handled by the National Anti-profiteering Authority. These cases generally concern issues where businesses are examined to see whether they have passed on the benefit of reduced GST or increased ITC (Input Tax Credit) to the consumers. The remaining 1257 cases are the regular GST appeals that have been filed online by the taxpayers. Such a large number of online appeals before the GST Appellate Tribunal reflects that the GSTAT portal is functioning smoothly, and taxpayers are not facing difficulties while filing appeals.
