A detailed guideline for the changes implemented on the GSTN Portal concerns the increase in the document upload size in the Principal Place of Business and Additional Place of Business sections for New GST Registration and Amendment.
CBIC Clarification on Section 16(4) Time Limit in respect of RCM supplies from unregistered persons
The citizens were complaining about the previous size restrictions as their files were usually compressed, which decreased their quality; furthermore, they regularly received notifications about unreadable files. These changes address complaints from the trade community about this issue.

What has Changed?

In the Principal Place of Business and Additional Places of Business tabs, the taxpayers can upload the following documents with a maximum size of 500 KB.
