ICAI Signs MoU with 11 Indian Universities and Colleges for Syllabus and Content Improvement

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with 11 prestigious universities and colleges to increase the quality and scope of commerce and accountancy education.

The collaboration intends to give comprehensive support to these academic institutions in a variety of areas, including syllabus preparation, content creation, online and recorded lectures, and faculty development programmes.

The MoUs were signed during a ceremony on Monday at the ICAI-organized National Education Summit on Commerce and Accountancy, which is presently taking place in the capital. ICAI President Aniket Sunil Talati attended the occasion and was instrumental in the agreement-making process.

The following 11 universities have entered into strategic partnerships with ICAI:

  • Central University of Haryana
  • Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi
  • Parul University, Vadodara, Gujarat
  • Darshan University, Rajkot, Gujarat
  • Shivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharashtra
  • Jain University (deemed), Bengaluru, Karnataka
  • SRM Group, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
  • Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, Tamil Nadu
  • Ramakrishna Mission, Vivekananda College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
  • Bharat Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, Tamil Nadu
  • Mizoram University, Aizawl, Mizoram

This collaboration is a crucial step towards developing educational quality and boosting collaboration between professional organisations and academic institutions. The partners hope to improve the overall quality of commerce and accounting education by combining their skills and resources.

The strategic collaborations formed through these MoUs are expected to bring about good changes in the academic landscape, benefiting both students and instructors.
