IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, invites applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Junior Mechanic to be deployed to the Dept. of Electrical Engineering. As described in the IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023 official notification, the hiring will be made for three (03) vacancies. Candidates applying for this post should have 3 years diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Instrumentation Technology with two years of relevant experience after the diploma in handling and testing of electronics lab equipment, soldering, testing and fabrication of electronic circuit boards. Candidates must be at least 27 years old (as of the application deadline), with appropriate age relaxations.
As described in the IIT Bombay Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates will be paid at Pay Level 3 (21,700-69,100) or Pay Level 4 (25,500-81,100) in accordance with the Institute’s Recruitment Rules and Promotion Policy. The first 3-year contract appointment ranges from Rs.21,700 to Rs.69,100. Subsequent substantive appointment at Pay Level 4 (25,500-81,100) through placement. A skill (trade/ competence) exam that is qualifying in nature may also be undertaken. The shortlist based on the written exam marks will be used to make the final decision. A candidate must get 60% (55% for SC applicants) in both the written test and the skill test (if applicable) to be considered for employment.
