Income Tax Department issued advisory on DSC
The Income Tax Department has issued an Advisory on Digital Signature Certificate(DSC).
The Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) has emerged as a globally trusted, secure, and safe digital tool that streamlines all of your e-filing processes. DSC has many such features that provide a cyber-free environment for your confidential information and records for e-filing income tax returns online.
According to the revised provision under Section 44AB of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the income tax department considers E-filing of Income Tax Return (ITR) to be mandatory for individuals/professionals with a gross annual income of 25 lakhs or more, and businesses or corporate firms with an annual turnover of 1 crore or more.
To file a tax return, you must affix the Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate to your documents. This protects your vital personal data from any cyber scam or data breach. Furthermore, DSC ensures the authenticity and integrity of the data exchanged during the ITR e-filing process.
