As per the official notification of Indian Army Recruitment 2023, both men and women in the regular Army will be given short service commissions for a total of 14 years, or an initial tenure of 10 years that can be extended by an additional period of 4 years. If eligible and suitable in all respects, male and female officers who wish to continue serving in the Indian Army after the ten-year short service commission period may be considered for the award of a permanent commission (PC) in the tenth year of their short service commission in accordance with the pertinent policies as issued from time to time.

Candidates applying for the Indian Army Recruitment 2023 must have a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in their LLB Degree (five years after passing the 10 plus 2) examination or three years after graduating.
