Indian Navy Recruitment 2023: The Indian Navy has invited applications through the proper channel for the post of Cook classified as General Central Service Group ‘C’. Non-Ministerial, Non-Industrial to be filled up by Absorption from the persons serving in similar, equivalent, or higher grades in the lower formations of the Defence Services. The post carries a pay matrix level of 2 (Rs 19900-63200) and the selected candidates will have to serve in the units under the administrative control of Headquarters Southern Naval Command, Kochi. However, they can be posted anywhere in India in Naval units/formations in case of any administrative requirement. As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria for the post include a maximum age limit of 56 years and a minimum qualification of Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Institute or Board along with one year of experience in the trade.
As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, the application should be in plain paper (A4 size) and affixed with the latest passport-size color photograph duly self-attested. The envelope must be clearly superscribed on the top as APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF COOK (BY ABSORPTION) and sent through the proper channel by Registered/Speed Post only to The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, (for Civilian Recruitment Cell), Headquarters Southern Naval Command, Kochi – 682 004. As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, the minimum qualification for the post of the cook is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Institute or Board along with one year of experience in the trade.
As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, the application process for the Recruitment of Civilian Personnel in the Indian Navy-2023 requires candidates to apply through proper channels by Registered/Speed Post only. The last date of receipt of the application through the proper channel is counted as 60 days from the date of publication in Employment News, excluding the first date of publication. For instance, if the Advertisement is published in Employment News, 01-07 of Month-ABC 2023, then the crucial date will be 60 days counted from 2 of Month-ABC 2023. This means that candidates must ensure that their applications are received by the designated authority before the last date of submission.
To apply for the post of Cook, candidates must submit their applications in plain paper (A4 Size) using good quality paper either neatly hand-written or typed as per the prescribed format (Annexure 1).
