As per the Indian Navy Recruitment 2023 official notification, Candidates applying for this job post should have a certificate of musical experience from any reputable musical institute or organization required for candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic classical music on wind instruments. For candidates playing Western notation or Western music on wind instruments, a music certificate from any nationally or globally renowned music institution, such as TCL or RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, or GMI, would be required. The submission of participation certificates and accolades from other events will be expected of additional candidates. The candidate should have proficiency and Aptitude for music with accuracy in Tempo, Pitch and singing one complete song. He/she Should also have actual practical skill on any instrument of Indian or foreign origin with proficiency in tuning of the instrument, matching unknown notes with the instrument, preparing pieces, sight reading of Indian Classical/Tablature/ Staff Notation, performance of Scale/ Raaga/ Taala and basic theory of Indian or International music.
