IT Department moves Know Your Refund Status Functionality to Post-Login Mode The Income Tax Department has moved the "Know Your Refund Status" option on the income tax e-filing portal from pre-login to post-login mode. To access this functionality, users must log in to the e-filing system and proceed to Services, where they will see the option to "Know Your Refund Status." Once accessible, the function now displays essential details such as the Date of Refund and the last four digits of the bank account to which the refund is credited, giving users a more thorough understanding of their refund status. Income Tax Refund occurs when there is a mismatch between the tax amount paid and the actual payable amount. If the amount paid exceeds the actual amount due, a refund is initiated.
