Pay Scale Level under JKPSC Recruitment 2023:

The Candidates shall be appointed as Assistant Professors under the Pay Scale Level mentioned hereunder:

Pay Scale: Level 10 (Pay Band Rs.15600-39100 Plus AGP Rs.6000 Pre-Revised Rs.57000)

Upper Age Limits under JKPSC Recruitment 2023:

i) The General (Open) Merit Candidates (as on 01.01.2023) should not exceed 40 Years.

ii) Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for different Reserved Communities are explained in the JKPSC Recruitment 2023.

Eligibility under JKPSC Recruitment 2023:

Note: Detailed Eligibility including Educational and Professional Qualifications, Desirable for Assistant Professor Posts in various Disciplines, except i) Music (Instrument/Vocal) and ii) BBAs/MBA Management have been explained hereunder. However, the Eligibility in reference to Assistant Professors (Music/BBA/MBA) may be read.

The Eligible Candidates should have

I) In possession Master’s Degree in Relevant Discipline with Minimum 55% Marks from Accredited University.

II) Cleared National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level Eligibility Test (SLET)/State Eligibility Test (SET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Association of Indian University/ies (AIUs)

Note*:

i) The Candidates having been awarded a Ph.D. (Philosophiae Doctor) Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission Regulations 2009 (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of the Ph.D. Degree), shall be exempted from the NET/SLET/SET as a Minimum Eligibility Condition.

ii) The NET/SLET/SET shall also not be Essential for such Master’s Programs in the disciplines for which the NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

Selection Process under JKPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the JKPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification Selection shall be carried through a Written Test for 70 Points followed by Awarding Weightage Marks of 18 Marks and Viva voce for 12 Points on the JKPSC notified Assistant Professor Posts consists of 03 Stages explained hereunder:

Stage 1: Competitive Written Test: Maximum 70 Points

Stage 2: Weightage to Academic Merit: 18 Points

Explained: Due Weightage of 10 Points (Maximum 03 Marks for Professional Examination Plus Maximum 08 Points for Higher Qualifications; viz., Magister Philosophiae (M.Phil), Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D), and Post-Doctoral 01 Year Plus Special Attributes including Research and Publications Plus Awards: 03 Points Plus Experience: 02 Points)

Stage 3: Viva voce/Personal Interview: 12 Points

Examination Fee and Documents for JKPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification:

Based on the JKPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Candidates shall need to remit the Online Examination Fee prescribed hereunder:

01) Open Merit Candidates: Rs. 1000 (Rupees One Thousand only)

02) Reserved Community Candidates: Rs.500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred only)

03) PwBDs Candidates remain exempted from payment of the Examination Fee: Nil
