Madras HC grants interim Stay on Rs. 92 crore GST demand due to clubbed Show Cause Notices The Madras High Court has granted an interim Stay on the Rs. 92 crore GST demand due to the clubbed Show Cause Notices issued to company Rmz Infinity (Chennai) Pvt Ltd (now Known As Chennai Business Tower Private Ltd). The Order reads as follows: Mr.B.Sivaraman, learned Junior Panel Counsel for Mr.Rajnish Pathiyil, learned Senior Panel Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent. He seeks time to get instructions. 2. The issue pertains to bunching of show cause notices. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court in the case of M/s.Titan Company Limited Vs. The Joint Commissioner of GST and Central Excise (W.P.No.33164 of 2023 dated 18.12.2023) has held that bunching of showcauses is illegal and relying upon the same, she prays for an grant of interim stay. 3 Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, there shall be an order of interim stay.
