Massive IT Raid Targets Tamil Nadu Poultry Farm Owner's Premises Over Asset Discrepancy
Income Tax officials on September 23, 2025, conducted an unexpected raid at the residence and business establishments of a poultry farm owner in the town (Namakkal).
The raid was initiated on a complaint that he had amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A team of 30 income tax officials from Coimbatore and Erode began searching the home, financial offices, and a poultry farm of Vangili Subramaniam in MG Nagar on Mohanur Road, Namakkal Town, in the morning.
Subramaniam runs more than 30 poultry farms across Tamil Nadu under the brand Vangili Feeds and is the president of the Tamil Nadu Egg Poultry Marketing Association. He also manages Venkateswara Finance and Arunai Chits on Trichy Road, where a unit of Vangili Feeds is also located. The Income Tax officials searched all three of these places and his homes.
