Eligibility for Ministry of Labor and Employment Recruitment 2023:

Note: The Candidates should refer to the Ministry of Labor and Employment Recruitment 2023 Notification appended hereto this Information Bulletin:

1) Sub-Regional Employment Officer/Officer on Special Duty (Group ‘B’-Gazetted)

The Officers under the Central or State Governments:

i) holding Analogous Posts on Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre/Department; or

ii) with 03 Years’ service in the Grade rendered after appointment thereto on a Regular basis in the pay Level 6 (Revised) or Equivalent in the Parent Cadre/Department;

b) Possessing the Following Educational Qualification and Experience mentioned

Essential Educational Qualification:

i) Master’s Degree in Social Welfare/Social Work/Economics/Statistics/Psychology/Commerce/Education from any duly accredited recognized University or Equivalent.

ii) 03 Years’ Experience of Socio-Economic Investigation or Research preferably in relation to demography, employment and unemployment or manpower problems.

iii) Knowledge of Employment Service Work.

Desirable: Experience of Employment Exchange Operations

2) Data Processing Assistant Grade B (Group ‘B’- Gazetted)

The Officers under the Central Government:

i) Holding analogous post on regular basis; or

ii) With 03 Years’ Regular Service in Post in the Pay Scale of Rs.5500-9000 (pre-revised) (Level 6 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix) or Equivalent; or

iii) with 06 Years Regular service in Post in the Pay Scale of Rs.5000-8000 (Pre-revised) (Level 6 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix) or Equivalent; and

Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:

Master’s Degree MCA/MCS/Master of Technology Or Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology with 02 Years’ Experience in the Post related Field.; Or

Master’s Degree in Discipline or Bachelor’s Degree in the Subject concerned with 02 Years’ Experience in the Post related Field.

3) Upper Division Clerks (Group ‘C’) (Level 4 (Rs.25500-81100)

Amongst the Officers under the Central Government:

i) holding Analogous Posts on Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre/Department; or

ii) with 08 Years’ Regular Service in the Grade of Lower Division Clerk in Level-2 (Rs.9900-63200) or Equivalent;

4) Sub-Regional Employment Officer (Group ‘B’- Gazetted)

Amongst the Officers of the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territories, Autonomous Bodies or Statutory Organisations, Public Sector Undertakings, Government Universities or Recognised Research Institutions:

(a. i) Holding Analogous Posts on Regular basis in the Parent Cadre or Department; or

ii) With 05 Years’ Regular Service in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix or Equivalent in the Parent Cadre or Department; and

(b) Possessing the following Educational Qualification and Experience:

Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:

i) Master’s Degree in Social Welfare or Social Work/Sociology/Labour Welfare/ Economics/Statistics/ Psychology/Commerce/Education from any duly accredited University;

ii) 03 Years’ Experience in matters pertaining to:

a) Collection, Analysis and Interpretation of Data/Socio-Economic Investigation/Research relating to demographic, employment and manpower problems; or

b) Employment Service Operations including Employment Market Information; or

c) Vocational Guidance and Employment Counselling; or

d) Personnel Organization and Management.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Operation.

Note : The Central Government/State Government/Union Territories Officers shall only be considered for absorption.

5) Assistant Employment Officer (Group ‘B’-Gazetted)

Amongst the Officers of the Central Government, State Governments/Union Territories

a.i) Holding Analogous Posts on Regular Basis in the Parent Cadre/Department; or

ii) with 06 Years’ Service in the Grade rendered after Appointment thereto on a Regular basis in Posts in Level 5 (Rs.29200-92300) of the Pay Matrix or Equivalent in the Parent Cadre/Department; and

b) having in possession the following Educational Qualifications and Experience:

Essential Educational Qualification and Experience:

i) Master’s Degree in Social Welfare/Social Work/Sociology/Labour Welfare/Economics/ Statistics/ Psychology/Commerce/Education from any duly accredited University or Institute;

ii) 02 Years’ Experience in matters pertaining to

a) Collection, Analysis and Interpretation of Data or Socio-Economic Investigation or Research relating to demographic, employment and manpower problems; or

b) Employment Service Operations including Employment Market Information; or

c) Vocational Guidance and Employment Counselling; or

d) Personnel Organization and Management.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Operation.
