MPSC Recruitment 2023: The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has sought Online Applications from the Candidates meeting Eligibility for Recruitment on to the Post Senior Geophysicist, Group-A in the Directorate of Groundwater Surveys and Development Agency under Maharashtra State Government based on the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement Dated 06.04.2023. As per the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification No. 0016/2023 Dated 06.04.2023, there are 03 Vacancies under Pay Scale S-21 (Rs. 57100-180800) to be filled up with Appointment as Senior Geophysicist, Group-A.
Based on the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification All Eligible Persons with Interest may apply following the Instructions prescribed in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification. As has been notified vide the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification the Online Registration shall commence from 10.04.2023. The Last Date for the Candidates to complete the Online Application Process is 02.05.2023).

The Last Date for Payment of the Exam Fee in the State Bank of India in the case of Payment of Examination Fee in/by Currency is 06.05.2023. Based on the MPSC Recruitment 2023, Un-Reserved Category Candidates under different Posts should be aged as on 01.08.2023 as follows:
Minimum 19 Years and Maximum 40 Years
Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates is described as per the Government of India Norms in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification.
The Eligibility for all Posts mandates to-be Eligible Candidates to have gained Post Graduate Degree in the relevant Subject with Minimum 06-Years in explained in the Eligible Criteria comprising Educational Qualification and Experience in the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification
Essential Educational Qualification: A Post-Graduate Degree in Geophysics/Applied Geophysics/Geology/Applied Geology with Physics as one of the Optional/Subsidiary Subjects at B.Sc. and Minimum 01/02 Papers in Geophysics at Post-Graduate Degree or any other Qualification declared by the Government to be Equivalent thereto.
Practical Experience in Geophysical Work mentioned hereunder:
Experience: Minimum 06 Years, in any Industry Or in a Government Department Or in an Industrial Undertaking or Corporation Or Board established by the Government, gained post-acquisition of the Qualification mentioned hereinabove.
Preference may be given to Candidates having in possession Experience in a Responsible Post in any Industry Or Institution doing Geophysical Field Work and who have carried out or supervised independent Field Mapping, Prospecting and Surveying and have published Papers in any branch of Geophysics.
According to the MPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for Senior Geophysicist, Group-A in the Directorate of Groundwater Surveys and Development Agency shall be carried through as explained hereunder:
Selection on Senior Geophysicist, Group-A Post shall be carried through based on the Educational Qualification/or Experience, Higher Qualification/Experience and Written Test with the Interview yielding Merit. The Candidates shall need to attain Minimum 41% Marks in both Screening Test and Interview.

The Examination Fee to be remitted/paid by the Candidates shall be as follows:
