For the Hindi Officer post, a Master’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level is required. Additionally, candidates must have five years of experience in terminological work in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice versa. As per NHAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, For the post of Manager (Rajbhasha), the candidate must hold a master’s degree of a recognized university or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level, or a master’s degree of a recognized university or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level. The candidate should have eight years of experience in using/applying terminology (terminological work) in Hindi and translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa, preferably of technical or scientific literature.
For the post of Hindi Officer, the candidate must hold a master’s degree of a recognized university or equivalent in Hindi with English as a subject at the degree level, or a master’s degree of a recognized university or equivalent in English with Hindi as a subject at the degree level, or a master’s degree of a recognized university or equivalent in any subject with Hindi and English as subjects at the degree level. The candidate should have five years of experience in terminological work and/or translation work from English to Hindi or vice-versa.
As per NHAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or department, shall ordinarily be three years, which may be extended for another two years with the approval of the Chairman, National Highways Authority of India. Further extension beyond the fifth year and up to a maximum of ten years shall be with the approval of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways subject to satisfactory performance.

According to the NHAI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the pay band for the post of Manager (Rajbhasha) is PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs.6600/- (equivalent to Level 11 in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC).
The pay band for the post of Hindi Officer is PB-3 (Rs.15600-39100) with Grade Pay Rs.5400/- (equivalent to Level 10 in Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC).
