NIA Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), Government of India has sought Online Applications from Professionals Duly Eligible for the Public Prosecutor Group ‘A’ Post in the National Investigation Agency, Head Quarters (New Delhi), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India vide the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification. The UPSC Notified NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification has arisen with 23 Vacancies to be filled up against the Public Prosecutor Posts in the Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500). Total Emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of Initial Appointment will be Rs.44900 Plus Dearness Allowance as applicable Per Month.
According to the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for the Notified NIA Public Prosecutor Posts to be filled up in the Group ‘A’ Classification. Post-Selection, the Candidates shall be issued Appointments with All India Liability Service Posting in the National Investigation Agency Head Quarters located in New Delhi.
UPSC issued NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification and the closing date is 13.07.2023 for Willing and Eligible Applicants to complete the ORA (Online Recruitment Application) Process. Accordingly, the Intending Candidates for the Public Prosecutor Post must complete the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) following the Instructions cited therein.
The NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification has arisen for 01 Post with 23 Vacancies to be filled up as narrated as hereunder:
Ministerial Department: The National Investigation Agency
Post Nomenclature: Public Prosecutor
Vacancy: 23 Nos. (with 13 Vacancies earmarked for the Un-Reserved Category Candidates)
Post Classification: National Investigation Agency Head Quarters, New Delhi with all India Service Liability Post.
Employment nature: The Posting remains Permanent.
Based on the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the Individuals selected for Public Prosecutor Post shall be entitled to the Monthly Salary in the Pay Matrix Level 10 post-Appointment, to be read hereunder:
Pay Matrix: Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500)
Revised Pay as per 7th CPC Level-10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the Pay Matrix. Pre-revised Pay Band -3 (Rs. 15600-39100 Plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400) Total Emoluments excluding T.A. & HRA at the time of Initial Appointment will be Approximately Rs.56100 Plus Dearness Allowance as applicable Per Month.
According to the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, the following Category-wise and Reserved Community-specific Age Limits (as on the Closing Date 13.07.2023 for the ORA) are to be read hereunder:
1) The Un-Reserved Category: The Candidate should not exceed 35 Years.
2) The Upper Age Limitation remains Relaxable for Regularly Appointed Central Government/Union Territory Government Servants up to 05 Years as per the instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.
3) For Age Relaxations/Concessions applicable to some other Categories of Applicants, the Applicants should refer to the relevant Paragraphs of the “Instructions and Additional Information to Candidates for Recruitment by Selection” of the UPSC-issued NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
The Eligibility, in accordance with the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, comprising the Educational Qualification(s) and Experience Mandatory for the Applicants may be read as follows:
Essential Qualification(s): The Willing Eligible Candidates should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:
A) Essential Qualification(s):
The Eligibility, in accordance with the UPSC issued NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Employment Notification for the Public Prosecutor comprising the Essential Educational Qualification(s) and Experience as is narrated therein for the Applicants should be read as follows:
Essential Criteria: The Willing Candidates with Eligibility should have the Eligibility comprising the Educational and Desirable Qualifications narrated hereunder:
I) Educational: Bachelor of Legal Laws/Degree in Law (LL.B) from any Duly Recognized University.
II) Experience: 07 Years’ Practice as an Advocate in conducting Criminal cases or 07 Years’ Experience of State Judicial Service or Legal Department of State or Central Government.
Note: The Educational Qualifications and the Qualifications with regard to Experience in respect of the Candidates, otherwise well-qualified, are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission.
Based on the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued, the Union Public Service Commission shall carry through the Recruitment Test Selection with Other Criteria for the Notified Public Prosecutor Post also explained hereunder:
Recruitment Methodology:
In the event the Applications relatively received in a large number from Applicants, the Union Public Service Commission may adopt the Shortlisting Criteria to restrict the number to only Eligible Candidates to be called in for the Interview to a Reasonable Number by Any or More of the Methodologies as mentioned hereunder:
i) “Based on the Desirable Qualification (DQ) or any one or all of the Desirable Qualifications (DQs), in case more than one Desirable Qualification is prescribed”.
ii) Based on the Higher Educational Qualifications than the Minimum prescribed in the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification.
iii) On the basis of the Higher Experience in the relevant field than the Minimum prescribed in the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement.
iv) By reckoning the Prior Professional Work-Experience before or Post-acquired Essential Qualifications of the Candidate Applicants.
v) By invoking the Prior Work Experience even in cases where there is No Experience mentioned Either as Essential Qualification (EQ) Or as Desirable Qualification (DQ).
vi) By holding a Recruitment Test (RT).
Note-II: Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks:
As has been explained in the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification for Selection Public Prosecutor in the National Investigation Agency (Head Quarters), Ministry of Home Affairs, Viva-voce/Personality Test carries Total 100 Marks with the Minimum Qualifying/Pass Marks for Selection to be read hereunder:
I) The Category-wise Minimum Level of Suitability in the Interviews (100 Marks), irrespective of whether the Selection is conducted only through Interview or by holding a Recruitment Test (RT) to be followed by the Interview, shall remain as hereunder:
i) Un-Reserved (UR) Category: Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks to be secured out of Aggregate 100 Marks
ii) Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 50 Marks
iii) Other Backward Community: 45 Marks
iv) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Persons with Benchmark Disability/ies (PwBD/s): 40 Marks.
II) In the cases where Selection is carried through by Recruitment Test (RT) followed by the Personal Interview, the Candidate will have to attain the Minimum Level of Suitability in their respective Categories in the course of the Interview Stage.
Based on the NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, following is the Application Fee and Payment Remittance Gateway by the Applicants:
I) The General Category/EWS/OBC Candidates shall have to pay the Application Fee Rs. 25.00 (Rupees Twenty-five) only either by remitting the Money in any Branch of the State Bank of India in Cash or by using the Net-Banking Facility of the State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card Payment Gateway.
II) Reserved Community (SC/ST/PwBDs) and Women Candidates under any Community remain Exempted from payment of the Application Fee.
The NIA Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, mandates Eligible Candidates with interest therein to complete the Online Recruitment Application. The Applicants must refer to the NIA Recruitment 2023 Advertisement to check out the Detailed Instructions in order to complete the Online Recruitment Application Process. Before initiating the Online Recruitment Application Process, Willing Applicants must ensure that they have satisfied the Eligibility stipulated for NIA Public Prosecutor.
