Overview:

Nike is hiring an experienced Software Engineering Manager – ITC at their Karnataka, location. As our Engineering Manager of Product Creation, you will be an integral part of Nike’s Product Creation Process. Our systems are used around the globe to create the Nike Apparel and Footwear that you see in stores and online. We are shifting to a platform-based app ecosystem and will need to grow our team in India to deliver on our multi-year digital transformation roadmap.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• A minimum of 2+ years of management experience of high performing full stack software development engineering teams
• 10+ years of experience in Software Development, Application Engineering, IT or a related field
• Leadership in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environment
• Experience working in a distributed/cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure etc.)
• Experience in delivering complex, cross-functional IT projects and/or programs
• Strong skills in building positive business partner relationships
• Strong networking skills and ability to work across multiple organizations to accomplish diverse goals

• Experienced in pulling together diverse groups of individuals with different goals and facilitating productive discussions and decisions
• Implement agile software processes, data-driven development, and data reliability
• Experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications
• Experience in microservice architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful Services using Java
• Experience working with globally distributed and diverse teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in working in diverse full-stack technologies for backend like Node JS, Java, Python and front end technologies like React.

Bonus points if you bring:

• Experience with New Relic, Dynatrace, and Splunk
• Experience with data processing and storage frameworks like Hadoop or S3, Snowflake, Dynamo, etc…
• Experience with continuous integration, unit testing, static analysis, and automated integration tests. Continuous delivery experience preferred
