ONGS Recruitment 2023: ONGC Ahmedabad Asset has announced a recruitment drive for retired executives from the Production and Drilling disciplines of ONGC. The oil and gas company is inviting applications for the post of Junior Consultants and Associate Consultants. As per ONGC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates will be posted as competent persons in shifts or general shifts on charter hired and O&M operated Work over Rigs of Ahmedabad Asset for the supervision of work-over operations. The contractual period for the selected candidates will be two years.
The posts available are 18 for Junior Consultants (E1 to E3 level) and 38 for Associate Consultants (E4 to E5 level) for the production discipline. If there is a shortage of E4 to E5 level candidates, the company will consider engaging E6 level candidates with a capping of remuneration to E5 level based on their consent. As per ONGC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the compensation package for Junior Consultants will be Rs 27,000 per month for the first year and Rs 28,350 per month for the second year, along with conveyance reimbursement, reimbursement for office at residence, and monthly charges on communication facilities. The compensation package for Associate Consultants will be Rs 40,000 per month for the first year and Rs 42,000 per month for the second year, along with other allowances.
The eligibility criteria require the candidates to be less than 65 years of age as of February 22, 2023. The selection process includes a written test and an interaction/interview, and the selection board will award marks to the candidates based on their performance in the two rounds. The selected candidates will be engaged on a purely contractual basis for two years and will be subject to medical fitness by the ONGC Medical Authority, as per Mines rules 1955. The last date for submitting the application is March 16, 2023.

As per ONGC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the required experience for the Junior Consultant (E1 to E3 level) and Associate Consultant (E4 to E5 level) posts from Production/Drilling discipline at ONGC is at least 5 years of experience in Work Over/Drilling field operations. The candidates must be retired ONGC executives who have retired at the E1 to E3 level for Junior consultant posts and at E4 to E5 level for Associate consultant posts. In case there is a non-availability of E4 to E5 level candidates in the required numbers, E6 level candidates will also be considered for engagement. However, the remuneration for E6 level candidates will be capped at the E5 level based on their consent.

The total compensation per month for the 1st year is Rs. 42,000/-.
For the 2nd year, the monthly honorarium is Rs. 28,350/-. In addition, there is a conveyance reimbursement of Rs. 6,500/- per month, reimbursement for office at residence (secretary, peon, etc.) of Rs. 6,500/- per month, and monthly charges on communication facilities of Rs. 2,000/-. The total compensation per month for the 2nd year is Rs. 43,350/-.

The total compensation per month for the 1st year is Rs. 68,000/-.
For the 2nd year, the monthly honorarium is Rs. 42,000/-. In addition, there is a conveyance reimbursement of Rs. 13,000/- per month, reimbursement for office at residence (secretary, peon, etc.) of Rs. 13,000/- per month, and monthly charges on communication facilities of Rs. 2,000/-. The total compensation per month for the 2nd year is Rs. 70,000/-.
As per ONGC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection criteria for the Junior Consultant and Associate Consultant posts are as follows:

b. Interaction/ interview: 20
Total Marks: 100
The written test will be conducted in a pen-paper format with a bilingual (English and Hindi) question paper consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions to be answered within 60 minutes. Each question will carry 4 marks, and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. The qualifying marks for the written test will be 28 out of 80 marks, i.e., 35% of the total marks.
Candidates who qualify for the written test will be shortlisted and called for an interaction/interview. The qualifying marks for the interaction/interview will be 12 out of 20 marks, i.e., 60% of the total marks. The selected candidates will be issued an offer of engagement based on their overall merit.
As per ONGC Recruitment 2023 official notification, the period of engagement for the advertised posts is 2 years from the date of joining, and it will be purely on a contract basis. The candidates who are selected for the post will be required to undergo a medical fitness test conducted by the ONGC Medical Authority as per Mines Rules 1955. The engagement period may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and the requirement of ONGC, but it will not exceed a maximum of 4 years.
