Monthly Pay Scale under PSSSB Recruitment 2023:

As per the PSSSB Recruitment 2023, the Monthly Pay Scales applicable to the Group ‘C’ Posts shall be as follows:

i) Fireman: Rs. 19900 Per Month in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.

ii) Driver/Operator: Rs. 21700 Per Month in the Pay Matrix of 7th CPC.

Upper Age Limits under PSSSB Recruitment 2023:

Based on the PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Age Limit for the Un-Reserved Category is as follows:

Age Criteria: Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 37 Years

As per the PSSSB Recruitment 2023, the Un-Reserved Category Candidate should be Minimum 18 Years and Maximum 37 Years’ Age as on the Closing Date Application.

The Applicants for the Fireman Post ho should be Quite Fit to undergo rigors of the Duties of a Fire Brigade Personnel. Refer to PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Notification.

Relaxations in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved Community Candidates is as per the Government Policy.

Eligibility under PSSSB Recruitment 2023:

A) Eligibility for Fireman Post:

Educational Qualification for Direct Recruitment as per Service Rules, which the Candidate should have in possession:

Educational Qualification:

i) Minimum Middle Standard.

ii) The Applicant should have passed Punjabi at Matriculation (10th) Standard.

Desirable: Having in possession Minimum 05 Years’ License of driving Heavy Vehicles prior to the Date of Recruitment in the Fire Service.

Experience: The Application must have Experience of carrying out Running Repairs to Vehicles and other Fire Service Appliances.

B) Post Name: Drivers/Operators:

Educational Qualification: Minimum Middle Standard.

Applicant should have passed Punjabi at Matriculation (Xth) Standard.

Desirable: Having in possession Minimum 05 Years’ License of driving Heavy Vehicles prior to the Date of Recruitment in the Fire Service.

Experience: The Application must have Experience of carrying out Running Repairs to Vehicles and other Fire Service Appliances.

Note:

Physique for Direct Recruitment for the notified Posts and mentioned hereunder: 

a) Height: Minimum 5’5”

b) Chest: 33.5” Unexpanded with 1.5”

c) Eyesight: 6/6 Both Eyes without Glasses

Physical Fitness Standards for the notified Posts are mentioned hereunder: 

I) Running of 100 Yards’ Distance with a Weight of 60 Kg Stones in 01 Minute.

II) Lifting Hook Ladder to a Vertical Position from 3rd Round and 6th Round.

iii) Climbing a Rope or a Vertical Pipe to a height of 8 to 10 Ft from the Ground.

Selection Criteria under PSSSB Recruitment 2023:

Selection for the Group ‘C’ Posts 01) Fireman, 02) Driver/Operator shall be conducted through Direct Recruitment as per the Service Rules prescribed in the PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Official Notification issued for the Purpose.

No Person shall be appointed to any Post in Group ‘C’ Service unless he has passed a Qualifying Test of Punjabi Language equivalent to Matriculation Standard with Minimum 50% Marks, to be conducted by respective Recruitment Agencies in addition to Competitive examination. The Test of Punjabi Dialect shall be a Mandatory Qualifying Test and failure to secure Minimum 50% Marks in Punjabi Dialect will disqualify the Candidate for being considered in the Final Merit List of the Candidates to be selected irrespective of their Marks/Scores in the other Papers of the respective Examination.

Based on the PSSSB Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the Candidates shall have to pay the Online Examination/Application Fee:

i) General Category: Rs. 1000 (Rupees One Thousand) only

ii) Ex-Service-Men and Dependents: Rs. 200 (Rupees Two Hundred) only.

iii) Economically Weaker Section: Rs.250 (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty) only

iv) Scheduled Caste/Backward Classes: Rs.250 (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty) only
