RBI Recruitment 2023: The Reserve Bank of India is inviting applications for a contractual Medical Consultant (MC) position with a fixed hourly remuneration for the dispensary located at the Main Office Building in New Delhi. The position is reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates, and only those who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. As per RBI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidates must have an MBBS degree from a recognized university in the allopathic system of medicine, a minimum of two years of experience practicing medicine in a hospital or clinic, and their dispensary or residence should be within a radius of 10-15 Kms from the Bank’s dispensary.
As per RBI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the engagement will be for a period of three years, and there will be no renewal of engagement upon completion of the contract. The selected candidate will be paid ₹1000/- per hour for the entire period of the contract, and the duty hours will be 05 hours per day between 9:30 AM to 05:15 PM from Monday to Friday. The Reserve Bank of India reserves the right to review the rate of remuneration from time to time and alter the duty hours and dispensary location at its discretion to suit administrative and operative requirements. The selected candidates will have to produce an OBC certificate in the prescribed proforma indicating their caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as OBC, and that they do not belong to the creamy layer as defined by the Government of India.

The Reserve Bank of India will conduct an interview to fill the vacancy, and the Bank reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates to be called for the interview.

The applicant should possess an MBBS degree from any recognized University in the allopathic system of medicine.
Applicants having a postgraduate degree in General Medicine can also apply for the post.
The applicant should have a minimum of 02 (two) years of experience of practicing medicine in any hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner.
The applicant should have his/her own dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 10-15 Km from the Bank’s dispensary.
The contract for engagement will be for a period of three years. There will not be any renewal of engagement upon completion of the contract.

As per RBI Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for the post of Medical Consultant (MC) on a contractual basis with fixed hourly remuneration at the Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi, involves an interview conducted by the bank. The bank may raise the minimum eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for the interview, and the decision of the bank in this regard will be final. Candidates who have not been shortlisted for the interview will not be entertained with any correspondence.
After the interview, the shortlisted candidates will have to undergo medical tests as per prescribed norms before engagement. The cost of these medical tests will be borne by the candidate themselves. The final selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the interview, medical tests, verification of documents, and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions of the Contract as per Annex-I and Code of Conduct as per Annex-II. Selected applicants will have to sign an agreement for a Contract with the bank before engaging their services as Medical Consultants (on a contract basis) with fixed hourly remuneration.
