RPSC Recruitment 2023: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has invited Online Applications from the Office Personnel with Eligibility for 02 Posts Exploration & Excavation Officer And Curator Posts in the Archaeology and Museums Department vide the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement 04/2023-24 Dated 21.07.2023. The RPSC Recruitment with both Notified Posts Exploration & Excavation Officer And Curator Posts has occurred with 10 Vacancies to be filled up through the Archaeology and Museums Department Exam-2023. Both RPSC Posts Exploration & Excavation Officer And Curator are to be filled up in Pay Scale Level 14 and Pay Scale Level 12 explained as Exploration & Excavation Officer Post will be filled up under Pay Matrix Level 14 (Grade Pay Rs.5400) and Curator Post in Pay Matrix Level 12 (Grade Pay Rs.4800) through Archaeology and Museums Department Examination-2023. As may be referred to in the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, Online Application shall commence on 26.07.2023 onwards. Accordingly the Last Date for Online Application and Registration would terminate/close on 25.08.2023.
According to the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement issued for Archaeology and Museums Department Examination-2023, the Willing Personnel amongst the Eligible Applicants may initiate the Online Application Process from 26.07.2023 onwards. Such Candidates must ensure that they have satisfied the Eligibility prescribed for both Posts Exploration & Excavation Officer And Curator Posts notified by the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement. Therefore the Intending Candidates having the Educational Qualification and Experience prescribed separately for both Posts should proceed with Online Application and Registration following the Instructions in RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement. Rajasthan Public Service Commission will conduct an Archaeology and Museums Departmental Examination 2023 for Selection on Exploration & Excavation Officer Post (for 01 Vacancy) And Curator Post (against 09 Vacancies).
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission notified Archaeology and Museums Department Examination-2023 for Selection on Exploration & Excavation Officer And Curator Posts will comprise Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions Based Question Papers. The RPSC notified Archaeology and Museums Department Examination-2023 with 2½ Hours’ Duration containing Part A and Part B with 150 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective-Type for 150 Marks shall involve a Negative Marking of 1/3rd (0.33) Mark for each Wrong Answer/Multiple Responses for every Objective-Type Multiple Choice Question.

Based on the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Monthly Pay Scale stipulated for the Posts notified therein to post-Selection shall accrue to the Officers narrated hereunder:
01: Exploration & Excavation Officer Post: Pay Matrix Level 14 (Grade Pay Rs.5400)
02: Curator Post: Pay Matrix Level 12 (Grade Pay Rs.4800)
Based on the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Age Limits stipulated/fixed for both Posts notified thereby as on 01.01.2024 in respect of General Category Candidates should be read hereunder:
Age Limits:
I) Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 40 Years.
II) Upper Age Limits Relaxations for Reserved Community Candidates are as per Government Rules.
The Eligibility comprising Educational Qualification and Experience specific to the Posts, in accordance with the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement for the Notified Posts as explained hereunder:
01: Exploration & Excavation Officer Post:
Educational Qualification: IInd Class Master’s Degree in History with Papers in Ancient History, With
Experience in the field of Archaeology for Minimum 01 (One) Season Not lesser than 02 Months.
02: Curator Post:
Educational Qualification: IInd Class Master’s Degree with Minimum 55% Marks in Master’s Degree in Ancient Or Medieval Indian History/M.A. Museology (With 01 Subject History at Bachelor’s Degree/Graduation Level) Or Equivalent thereof.
Note: The Candidates having appeared in the Final Year Examination Or set to appear therein may also apply.

The Selection Procedure to be carried through RPSC Archaeology and Museums Department Examination 2023 for 01)Exploration & Excavation Officer And 02) Curator Post is aimed at preparing the Final Merit List.
Based on the RPSC Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement, the Examination Fee shall have to be borne by the Candidates, as follows:
I) Un-Reserved Category Candidates: Rs. 600
II) Other Backward Community (NCL) Candidates/Extremely Backward Classes (CL): Rs. 600.00
III) Reserved Community (NCL) Candidates/Economically Weaker Section/Saharia Region Classes: Rs. 400.00
IV) Divyang Jan: Rs. 400.00
