As has been notified in the SAI Recruitment 2023 Notification, there are 152 Vacancies to be filled up with the Contractual Posts as follows:

1) Coach: 44 Vacancies

2) Senior Coach: 44 Vacancies

3) Chief Coach: 49 Vacancies

4) High-Performance Coach: 25 Vacancies

Age Limits for SAI Recruitment 2023:

Based on the SAI Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Applicants should have the Age Limits as follows:

1) Contractual Coach: 60 Years

2) Contractual Senior Coach: 60 Years

3) Contractual Chief Coach: 50 Years

4) Contractual High Performance Coach: 45 Years

Pay Scale under SAI Recruitment 2023:

As is notified in the SAI Recruitment 2023 Advertisement, the following Pay Levels are applicable to Deputation Posts:

1) High-Performance Coach:

Pay Scale: Level-13 (Rs.123100-215900) Rs.2.20 Lac Per Month (Consolidated)

2) Chief Coach:

Pay Scale: Level-12 (Rs.78800-209200) Rs.1.45 Lac Per Month (Consolidated)

3) Senior Coach:

Pay Scale: Level-11 (Rs.67700-208700) Rs.1.25 Lac Per Month (Consolidated)

4) Coach:

Pay Scale: Level-10 (Rs.56100-177500) Rs.105000 Per Month (Consolidated)

Eligibility for SAI Recruitment 2023:

According to SAI Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Applicants to be engaged in the Posts should have the following Essential Qualification and Experience for the Contractual Posts

i) Essential Qualification for Coaches in various Grades of Coaching Cadre to be recruited on a Contractual Basis are as follows:

1) High-Performance Coach, 2) Chief Coach, 3) Senior Coach and 4) Coach:

1) Diploma/Equivalent in Coaching from Sports Authority of India (SAI), Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), or from any other Accredited Indian/Foreign University with 15-Years’ Experience.; Or

II) Medal Winner in Olympic/World Championship/ Twice Olympic Participation with 05-Years’ Experience; Or

III) Participation in Olympic/Paralympics and International Event with 10-Years’ Experience; Or

iv) Dronacharya Awardee with 05-Years’ Experience.

Desirable Experience:

I) Diploma/Equivalent in Coaching from Sports Authority of India (SAI), Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), or from any other Accredited Indian/Foreign University with 03, 02 -Years’ and 01 Year’s Experience for the Posts Chief Coach, Senior Coach and Coach.

II) Medal Winner in Olympic/World Championship/ Twice Olympic Participation with 03, 02 -Years’ and 01 Year’s Experience for the Posts Chief Coach, Senior Coach and Coach.

III)Participation in Olympic/Paralympics and International Event with 03, 02 -Years’ and 01 Year’s Experience for the Posts Chief Coach, Senior Coach and Coach.

iv) Dronacharya Awardee with 03, 02 -Years’ and 01 Year’s Experience for the Posts Chief Coach, Senior Coach and Coach.

Common Eligibility for Coach Posts:

The Officers working under the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration (Including their Attached/Subordinate Offices)/Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous/Statutory Organization/Accredited Universities/
Educational and Research Institutions holding:

Analogues Post(s) in their Parent Cadre/Department with

with 05 Years in Pay Scales 12, 11, 10 for High-Performance Coach, Chief Coach and Senior Coach and for Coach 03-Years in Pay Scale 07 and 08-Years in Pay Scale Level 06

Selection Process under SAI Recruitment 2023 Notification

Selection on all Posts, High Performance Coach, Senior Coach, Chief Coach and Coach shall be carried through by Interaction/Viva voce.

The Normal Deputation Tenures are as follows:

I) High Performance Coach is 05-Years; 2) Chief Coach is 04-Years; 03) Senior Coach and Coach is 03-Years. However, the Deputation Tenure is likely to be extended up to 07 Years (As per Recruitment Rules of SAI), depending on the Requirements, or till the age of 60 Years, whichever is earlier. The personnel may be repatriated pre-maturely if the Performance is not found to be satisfactory.

II) The Initial Contract shall be for a 01-Year’s Duration and Extendable in a cycle of 01- Year subject to attaining Maximum 65 Years’ Age.

The other Terms & Conditions necessary for Appointment in SAI will be mentioned in the detailed Agreement that shall be signed by the Selected candidate at the time of Appointment.

The Advanced Copy together with NOC, Vigilance Clearance, Annual Performance Appraisal Reports from the Parent Department to be sent to the Deputy Director (Coaching), Sports Authority of India, Head Office, Gate No.10 (East Gate), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110 003 Receivable latest by 3rd March 2023 (03.03.2023).
