South Western Railway Recruitment 2023: South Western Railway is inviting applications from eligible Indian candidates for the various trades as Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. As per the South Western Railway Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are 904 vacancies. There are vacancies in Hubballi Division, Carriage Repair Workshop, Hubballi, Bengaluru Division, Mysuru Division and Central Workshop, Mysuru region.
As per the South Western Railway Recruitment 2023 official notification, there are vacancies in Fitter, Welder, Machinist, Turner, Electrician, Carpenter, Painter and Programming and System Administration Assistant (PASAA) trades. Candidates applying for the above-mentioned job post should have crossed the age of 15 years and the maximum age limit for this job post is 24 years. Selected candidates will be appointed for a tenure of 01 years. Candidates applying for the above-mentioned job post have to pay Rs. 100 as application fees. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/Women/PwBD candidates. The selection of candidates will be based on a merit list that has been created for each applicant who responded to the notification. As per the South Western Railway Recruitment 2023 official notification, the candidate must have a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or a Provisional Certificate issued by the National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training (NCVT/SCVT) and have successfully completed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with a minimum of 50% overall marks. Note: Because they are subject to a different apprenticeship programme, engineering graduates and diploma holders are not qualified to apply for an apprenticeship in response to this notification. Candidate must have passed the 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from a recognised Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by the National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training (NCVT/SCVT). Engineering Graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for apprenticeship in response to this notification as they are governed by the separate scheme of apprenticeship.

If the candidates’ dates of birth are the same, the applicant who passed the matriculation exam first will be given preference.
