THDC Recruitment 2023: THDCIL, also known as Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Limited, is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. It is engaged in the development of hydroelectric power in the country. The organization has recently announced job openings for Engineer Trainee and Manager positions in various disciplines. There is a total of 124 Vacancies available in this recruitment Drive.
As per the THDC recruitment 2023 official notification, for Engineer Trainee positions, THDCIL is seeking bright, dedicated, result-oriented, energetic, and dynamic candidates with good academic records to join their team. The vacancies are available for Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers. The total number of vacancies for each position, as well as the number of posts reserved for candidates from different categories, such as PwBDs, SC, ST, OBC(NCL), and EWS, are specified in the table.
As per the THDC recruitment 2023 official notification, for Manager positions, THDCIL is looking for experienced and academically proficient candidates to join them in various disciplines such as O&M, Chemistry, Business Planning & Development, Renewable Energy, Hydro Civil Design, and Hydro Civil Construction. THDCIL has reserved vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs)/SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/EWS as per Govt. Guidelines/Directives. The organization follows a horizontal reservation policy, where vacancies are reserved for PwBDs, and if there is no person with a benchmark disability available for the post, the vacancy shall be filled by the appointment of a person other than a person with a benchmark disability. As per the THDC recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for the post of Engineer Trainee (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) in THDCIL is based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 score. The eligible candidates must have appeared for GATE 2022. The shortlisting of candidates will be done based on the normalized score of GATE 2022.
The corresponding GATE 2022 paper for each post is Civil Engineering for ET (Civil), Electrical Engineering for ET (Electrical), and Mechanical Engineering for ET (Mechanical). The GATE 2022 paper code for Civil Engineering is CE, for Electrical Engineering is EE, and for Mechanical Engineering is ME.
If two candidates have the same GATE score, the marks obtained in the Essential qualification examination (Engineering Degree) will be taken into consideration. If the marks in the Essential qualification examination are also the same, then marks obtained in class XII will be taken into consideration. If the marks obtained in class XII are also the same, then marks obtained in class X will be taken into consideration. In case the marks obtained in class X are also the same, then Date of Birth will be taken into consideration, and the person born earlier will be considered.
The selection process for Managers’ posts, consists of marks obtained in the corresponding paper of GATE 2022 and Personal Interviews. Eligible Candidates may be shortlisted category-wise for the Interview based on Essential Qualifications and Number of years & Nature of experience. The selection process also includes marks obtained (100 marks) in Essential Qualification, Number of years, and Interview.
Candidates must qualify in Personal Interview to be considered for the empanelment. The Qualifying percentage marks in the interview for different categories are as follows: Unreserved (UR)/ OBC(NCL)/EWS 50% and ST/SC/PwBDs/Ex-Servicemen* 30%.
As per the THDC recruitment 2023 official notification, the organization offers an attractive pay package, which is one of the best in the Power Sector Industry. The selected candidates will be placed at a minimum basic pay of Rs. 50,000.00 in the pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – 3%-1,60,000 (IDA) during the period of training as Engineer Trainee in E-2 Grade. In addition to the basic pay, the candidates will also receive Dearness Allowance and other perquisites and allowances under the cafeteria approach during the training period. Benefits such as leave, medical treatment, provident fund, pension, and gratuity will also be provided.
Upon completion of the training successfully, the candidates will be absorbed as Senior Engineers in E-3 Grade with a pay scale of Rs. 60,000-3%-1,80,000 (IDA). The compensation package shall include Basic Pay, Dearness Allowance, Perquisites and Allowance as per cafeteria, Performance Related Pay, Company Leased Accommodation / Company Quarters or HRA, Reimbursement of monthly conveyance expenditure, mobile facility, etc. The Corporation also offers excellent facilities like Short and Long term Loans & Advances including House Building Advances, Car loans, Computer/Laptop loans, Medical facilities for self and dependents, Group Insurance, PF, Gratuity, and Pension.
