UPSC Recruitment 2023: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has sought Applications from Retired Officers Eligible for Engagement as Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Level Consultants. As has been notified vide the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, there are 27 Positions to be filled up with the Appointment of the Officers.
The Central Government Servants Retired and nearing retirement up to 28.02.2023 as Assistant Section Officers or Equivalent-Level from any Ministry/ Department or its attached/Subordinate Offices for preparation of Panel for Engagement as Consultants at Assistant Section Officer Level in the Office of the Union Public Service Commission.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023, the Last Date for the Eligible Candidates with Willingness to complete Application Submission in the Prescribed Specimen Application Proforma shall terminate on 28th February 2023 (28.02.2023).
As per the UPSC Recruitment 2023, there are 27 Vacancies to be filled up with Contractual Appointment ASO Level Consultant Position Eligible Candidates

The Remuneration payable to the ASO Level Consultant shall be calculated by deducting the Pension from the Basic Pay drawn at the time of Retirement.
As has been mentioned in the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Maximum Age Limit prescribed (as on 01.02.2023) is hereunder:
Maximum Age Limit: 62 Years
The Eligible Candidates with Willingness should
I) have retired as Assistant Section Officer or Equivalent Level from any Ministry/Department or its attached or Subordinate Offices of the Central Government
II) have sound knowledge of Service Rules, Regulations, Noting and Drafting
III) have the Working Knowledge of Computer Application required in day-to-day functioning of Office.
Selection on Assistant Section Officer Level Consultant Posts shall be through Viva-voce/ Personal Interaction/Interview. The Candidates to be called in for Interview will be shortlisted through Scrutiny of the Applications received.
Engagement of the Assistant Section Officer (ASO) Level Consultants will be purely On Contract Basis. Application received in response to this Advertisement will be shortlisted on the basis of the Applicants’ Experience and Qualification. The Assistant Section Officer Level Consultants will be selected from shortlisted Candidates.
According to the UPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Eligible Candidates intending to apply must submit their respective Applications in the Specimen Proforma.
Duly completed Applications being submitted by the Applicants should be coupled with the following Documents:
a) Photocopy of Retirement Notification
b) Photocopy of Pension Payment Order (PPO)
c) Photocopy of Last Pay Certificate
d) Photocopy of Identity Card in case will be retiring by the Last Date of Application Receipt.
e) Photocopy of PAN Card and Aadhar Card (Mandatory)
f) Photocopy of Last 02-Years’ Annual Performance Appraisal Report
