WBPSC Recruitment 2022: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has invited Applications from the Candidates Eligible for the Post of Keeper State Archaeological Museum in the Information and Cultural Affairs, under the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, West Bengal State Government.

Selection Process for WBPSC Recruitment 2022:

Selection for the Post Keeper Keeper State Archaeological Museum in the Information and Cultural Affairs under West Bengal State Archaeological Museum shall be carried through by way of 1) a Screening Test and 2) an Interview.

West Bengal Public Service Commission shall put restrictions on the appropriately Eligible Candidates to be called in for an Interview to a reasonable limit based on either Higher Qualifications/Higher Marks/Grade(s) obtained in the Essential Qualifications or Service Experience in the Post-related relevant field more than/above the Minimum prescribed in WBPSC Recruitment 2022 Advertisement or on the basis of a Screening Test followed by Personal Interview.

Upper Age Limit (As on 01.01.2022): Maximum 40 Years, relaxable for the Persons holding Substantive Appointment under West Bengal State Government.

Essential Educational Qualification: The Eligible Candidate should have the following in possession

i) A Post Graduate Degree from the Government of India recognized University in Museology/Archaeology/Ancient Indian History and Culture/Islamic History and Culture or any Classical Language with a Specialization in any Branch of Archaeology.

ii) Minimum 03 (Three) Years’ Experience in any reputed Museum or any Equivalent or Comparable Institution.

Desirable: i) Obtained Training in Museology from any Central Government/State Government recognized Museum or any Equivalent Institution.

ii) Training in Conservation and Preservation of the Museum Objects from any of the Central Government or the State Government recognized Institution or Museum, Publication in Art, Archaeology and Museology.

Desirable and Essential Proficiency: The Candidate must

i) be a Bona fide Citizen of India

ii) have the Ability to Read, Write and Speak in Bengali (not required for those Candidates whose Mother-tongue is Nepali) vide Finance Department’s Notification No.1243-F(P) Dated 02.03.2016.

iii) have Sound Health and Good Character and suitability in all respects for Appointment into the West Bengal State Government Service
