Banks will be closed for 4 days beginning today; there will be no work in banks till March 29
Banks will be closed for four days starting on Saturday owing to a weekly holiday and a bank strike. While there will be no work in the banks on Saturday and Sunday owing to the weekly holiday, there will be no work in the banks on March 28 and 29 due to the bank union’s strike (Monday and Tuesday). Bank unions across the country have planned a two-day walkout to protest bank privatisation practises.
According to SBI, the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) has informed them of this. The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), Bank Employees Federation of India (BEFI), and All India Bank Officers Association (AIBOA) have all issued notices of a statewide strike.
In a notice to the stock exchange, State Bank of India stated that while the bank has made essential plans to guarantee normal operation of its branches and offices during the strike days, it is feared that the strike may have an impact on the bank’s operations to some extent.
During the strike, online banking will be available. You will be able to do financial transactions online with this. However, due to the bank’s four-day closure, there may be a cash shortage at the ATM.
In April, banks will be closed for 15 days. Banks will be closed for 9 days in various parts of the country for various reasons. Aside from these, banks will be closed on four Sundays and two Saturdays.
Bank Holiday List: Banks will be closed for 15 days in April; month starts with holiday
