As mentioned in the OPSC Recruitment 2023 the Candidates appointed as Civil Judge in Odisha Judicial Service shall be entitled to Pay Scale of Rs.77840-136520 (Pre-Revised Scale of Rs.27700-770-33090-920-40-1080-44770) Plus Dearness Allowance and other Allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha State at times.

Upper Age Limits for the OPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the OPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, Variable Age Limits (As on 01.08.2022) applicable to Un-Reserved Category and Reserved Community are as follows:

01: Un-Reserved Category: Not to exceed (Minimum) 23 Years and Maximum 35 Years.

Eligibility for OPSC Recruitment 2023:

According to the OPSC Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Eligibility comprising Educational Qualification and Post-Appointment Officials are as follows:

Educational Qualifications:

i) Bachelor of Legal Laws (LL.B.) (from the Central Government/State Government Accredited University/ies or Institutions

ii) Any Superintendent or Ministerial Officer in the High Court or any Civil or Criminal Court Subordinate to the High Court or an Assistant Law Officer or Translator of the Law Department of Government are also Eligible for appear in the Competitive Examination under Rule 12 for recruitment on Civil Judge Posts in the Odisha Judicial Service subject to having Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Laws from the University duly recognized by the State Government has Approved Service in the High Court/Any Civil/Criminal Court Subordinate to the High Court or in the Department of Law of at least 07 Years by the Last Date fixed for submission of Online Applications for the said Competitive Examination has been recommended by the respective Appointing Authority; and is not exceeding 39 Years aged as on 01.08.2022. “Approved Service;’ for this purpose means Qualifying as defined in the New Restructured Defined Contribution Pension Scheme provided in the Odisha Civil Service (Pension) Rules 2005.

Selection Process under OPSC Recruitment 2023:

Selection on Civil Judge Cadre under the Odisha Judicial Service consists of 03 Stages explained hereunder

I) Preliminary Written Examination (Single Paper): 100 Marks

II) Main Written Examination (01 Plus 03 Papers): [600; i.e., 150 Marks Plus 150 x 03 Papers = 450 Marks)

III) Interview: 100 Marks.

Final Merit List to be prepared taking into account the Aggregate Marks secured in both Main Examination and Personal Interview.
