BSF Recruitment 2023: The Border Security Force (BSF) has released an official notification inviting online applications from eligible and interested Indian Citizens for recruitment to the posts of Constable (Tradesman). There are a total of 1284 vacancies, out of which 1220 vacancies are for male candidates and 64 vacancies are for female candidates. As per BSF recruitment 2023 official notification, the selected candidates will be appointed in the Pay Matrix Level-3, with a pay scale of Rs. 21,700-69,100/- and other allowances as admissible to Central Govt. employees. The last date for acceptance of applications will be 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement on the BSF website.
The eligibility conditions for the recruitment include a minimum age of 18 years and a maximum age of 25 years, as on the closing date of online applications. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to special categories, as per the instructions issued by the Central Govt. from time to time. As per BSF recruitment 2023 official notification, the educational qualifications required for the posts of Constable (Tradesman) vary, depending on the trade. While a matriculation certificate or its equivalent from a recognized Board is a common requirement, candidates must also be proficient in the respective trade and qualify in the trade test conducted by the recruitment board. Candidates with a National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level-I Course in food production or Kitchen from National Skill Development Corporation or from the institutes recognized by National Skill Development Corporation will be given preference for the trades of Constable (Cook), Constable (Water Carrier), and Constable (Waiter).

As per BSF recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for candidates applying for a certain job vacancy should be between 18 to 25 years as on the closing date of online applications. However, there is a relaxation in age limit for candidates belonging to special categories of personnel such as SC/ST/OBC as per the instructions issued by the Central Government from time to time. This implies that eligible candidates from these categories may be given a relaxation in the age limit beyond the prescribed limit of 25 years, as per the rules and regulations laid down by the government.
As per BSF recruitment 2023 official notification, the educational qualifications required for the different trades of Constable are mentioned below:
For the trades of Cobbler, Tailor, Washerman, Barber, and Sweeper, the candidate must have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in the respective trade and must qualify for the trade test conducted by the recruitment board.
For the trades of Cook, Water Carrier, and Waiter, the candidate should have passed Matriculation or an equivalent examination from a recognized board and completed the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level-I Course in food production or Kitchen from National Skill Development Corporation or from the Institutes recognized by National Skill Development Corporation.
It is to be noted that multi-skilled candidates will be given preference in the selection process.
